We operate a buyer registration system. If you want to bid you need to register on arrival, providing your name and address, and proof of identity, (such as driving licence/bankers card etc.). We then issue you with a bidding number for that particular auction.

An auction normally proceeds at a rate of 100 to 120 lots an hour. Each lot is called and described briefly prior to the bidding starting.
To make a bid clearly show your bidding card and when the hammer has fallen show the auctioneer your bidding number. Please note that once the hammer has fallen the lot becomes the responsibility of the buyer.

For any clients unable to attend the auction we hare happy to undertake commission bids on their behalf. Alternatively for high value lots telephone bidding is possible. Telephone bids can only be accepted by prior arrangement and are on a first-come first-served basis.

If you are a successful purchaser the price you pay is the amount of the hammer price plus the Buyers Premium with VAT on that premium.

Our Buyers Premium is charged on all goods, at a rate of 12% +VAT on that premium, giving a total of 14.1% on hammer price. Occasionally certain items carry VAT on the hammer price, these will be marked in the catalogue accordingly.

Items will only be released to the purchaser once their account has been paid in full.

We accept most methods of payment, Cash, cheque supported by a valid cheque card, and Credit/Debit cards (no extra charge is attached to card transactions).
